Director Responsibilities: -hiring, firing, and training of staff; -providing curricular guidance to staff; -grant writing -scholarship decisions -admissions decisions -teaching -parent contact Assistant Director Responsibilities: -taxes and government forms -legal research -fundraising -transcripts -financial recordkeeping -corrdinate food/supplies/vehicles Staff responsibilities: -staff meetings (minimum of weekly) -leveled-group duties -parent contact (with Director) -1 general learning activity per day Leveled-group duties (either K-1, 1-3, 3-5, or 5-7): social group and parent familiarity; level-dependent curriculum; help for kids to organize level-independent activities recording and testing progress (portfolios, tests, narrative description of the development of capacities) Non-level (general) learning activity ideas: art, field trips, music, guests, garden, forest, E/sports/dance, movies (fun or educational), projects, science, topical discussions, reading discussions, plays, collaborative storytelling, writing group, walks, languages, computer time, cleanup, cooking
